When small Brisbane software house Hotshed rescued high-flying internet retailer dStore from its collapsed parent, Harris Scarfe, in 2001, it believed turning the loss-making operation around was only a matter of the right software platform.
Though the business was burning through $300,000 a month, HotShed pledged to transform it into a profitable enterprise within a year. Read more of this post
